The Post Office is located in West Clock Town and is running from from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. At 9:00 a.m. the Postman leaves the Post Office to pick up any mail from the postboxes. He then comes back to the Post Office at 12:00 p.m. for a rest. At 1:00 p.m., he delivers the letters he had previously picked up. He trains until 12:00 a.m. where he then sleeps for the night. Link can obtain a Piece of Heart from the Postman by running for exactly 10 seconds. If he does this another time after obtaining the Piece of Heart, he will be given a Purple Rupee. If Link goes to the Post Office after receiving the Letter to Mama on the Final Day, he can give it to the Postman to deliver. The Postman can later be found at the entrance of the Milk Bar after having delivered the letter been relived of his duties, and will give Link the Postman's Hat before fleeing from town.

On one of the walls is a sign that lists the Postman's schedule and ends with a week's motto. The motto during the time Link is in Termina is, "Don't slack off--the heavens and the wife are watching." -- Mayor Dotour
