"Player's Choice" was a title given to video games that were either licensed or created by Nintendo that sold over one million copies. When a game received Player's Choice, a new box was released bearing the Player's Choice label, often near or above the console logo. The label was first used in 1996 for select SNES games, and concluded in 2006 with Game Boy Advance games. It was succeeded by the Nintendo Selects line. Typically, games given the title had their price drastically reduced. Price reductions ranged from $10 to $30, depending on the game and its popularity.
