Pirogusu are enemies in A Link to the Past.[1]
Characteristics[]
Pirogusu drop down from holes in the walls into the waterways of the Swamp Palace. Once in the water, they move very fast, travelling in straight lines around the edges of the water until they are defeated. Pirogusu will continue to swarm into the room even after being defeated. They cause up to two Hearts of damage if touched.
Nomenclature[]
Pirogusu may come from the Japanese onomatopoeia combining pi (drip) and gusu (tear), relating to their manner of dropping like a teardrop from holes in the walls. Pirogusu also share a similar name to グーズ (Gūzu), the Japanese name of Rats.
