Parapa Desert is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Features[]
The place is a wide desert peninsula in the northern region of Western Hyrule famous for its singular landmark, the Parapa Palace. A Heart Container lies deep within the southernmost area of the desert. Link has to trek through this area on his quest to wake Princess Zelda.
The Parapa Cave is located at the southwest portion of the Parapa Desert. It connects the forest northeast of Rauru Town with the Parapa Desert. The first time through the cave, it will be dark inside since Link has yet to acquire the Candle.
Non-canon Appearances[]
Captain N: The Game Master[]
The Parapa Desert appears in the "Quest for the Potion of Power" episode of Captain N: The Game Master. Interestingly, rocks fly in course with the air all throughout the desert, making the area dangerous to any unprepared visitors. Link, Princess Zelda, and Kevin must journey through the desert during their search to obtain the Potion of Power. As they are making their way to the Parapa Palace, they encounter a giant Geldarm, which Kevin easily defeats with his Zapper.
