The Observation Room is a location in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Features and Overview[]
The Observation Room is a surveying spot positioned due north of the Hyrule Castle Gate, overlooking the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. Initially, it is entirely inaccessible from all sides, as Malice blocks all apertures connecting to the Observation Room. If Link destroys the Glowing Eyeball in the adjacent Reception Room, his way into the Observation Room will be cleared. The interior of the Observation Room is decorated with a lone, avian statue flanked by two stairs leading to an upper level where the viewing platform is. To access the balcony, Link must destroy the Glowing Eyeball in the Room.
Prior to the Great Calamity, King Rhoam would address his subjects from the Observation Room.[2] When Calamity Ganon overtook Hyrule Castle, all of its windows ended up covered in Malice.[2]
On the Observation Room balcony, Link can find a Treasure Chest containing three Ancient Arrows.
Two Koroks can be found on the balcony of the Observation Room through the use of Archery. The first will appear if Link shoots the coat of arms located on the balcony from below. The second is marked by a Pinwheel, which causes a Balloon to appear when Link approaches. Both of these Koroks will give Link a Korok Seed for finding them.[3]
