The Goron Village is a location that appears in Majora's Mask and Spirit Tracks, one located in the land of Termina and the other in Hyrule, respectively. As its name implies, it is home to the Goron race.

Majora's Mask
Situated in the Snowhead region of Termina, Goron Village is the home of the Gorons in Majora's Mask. Since the weather has been so cold, many of the Gorons have retreated into the Goron Shrine in the center of the village to keep themselves warm. To the east side of the village is a cave housing the Lens of Truth. On the west side of the village, Medigoron can be found approving the worthy Gorons that can complete his test to use Powder Kegs.

During the winter, a single Goron will be standing on top of the Goron Shrine entrance, allowing Link entrance to it if he doesn't possess the Goron Mask. Once spring returns to the village, most Gorons (including the Goron Elder) can be found either inside the Shrine or at the Goron Racetrack.

There is also a Business Scrub nearby who will sell Goron Link a bigger Bomb Bag for 200 Rupees by exchanging his older bomb bag.

Goron Shrine
The Goron Shrine is the home place to many Gorons during the winter, including the Goron Elder and his baby son. The sharp cries of the baby cause the rest of the Gorons to become uneasy, trying to cover the ears and zone out the bawling and screaming of the Elder's son. Once Goron Link plays the Goron Lullaby to the child, he will fall asleep, lighting the torches in his room and relieving the rest of the Gorons of his cries.

Torches can be found all around the Goron Shrine and, once they are all lit up, the chandelier above will light up and start spinning. By breaking one of the Goron heads on the chandelier, Link can find a Rock Sirloin and take it to the hungry Goron in Mountain Village.

The entrance of the Goron Shrine is tightly shut during the winter, and it only stays open for a short amount of time in order to keep the cold from coming inside; however, in the spring, the door is widely open for anyone to freely come and go.

Lone Peak Shrine
The Lone Peak Shrine, which contains the Lens of Truth locked away in a chest, is located across an endless abyss in Goron Village. In order to reach the entrance to the shrine, Link must follow Kaepora Gaebora as he drops feathers that reveal invisible platforms leading to the other side. Inside the Lone Peak Shrine are many invisible enemies, such as Big Skulltulas, that the young hero will only be able to see once he has retrieved the Lens of Truth.

Once springtime arrives to the village, the floating platforms leading to the Lone Peak Shrine will be visible, rendering the Lens of Truth useless to reach the other side.

Overview
In Spirit Tracks, the Goron Village is located in the Fire Realm. It is home to the Goron Elder and Kagoron, the Mountain Goddess's messenger. The main area of the village consists of seven houses, one of which is the Goron Country Store and the other one which is the Goron Elder's home. To reach the Fire Sanctuary, it is necessary to go through the Goron Elder's house, which has the entrance to the sanctuary on the back. To the west of the village is a path that leads to the Altar of the Mountain Goddess, where Kagoron is located. This path requires the extensive use of the Whip, which is what the young hero must use in order to cross the lava pits.

When Link first arrives to the Goron Village, lava is erupting from the ground preventing entrance to the village. Link is advised to go visit Kagoron at the altar of the Mountain Goddess. After Link speaks with Kagoron and tells him of his wishes to enter the Fire Sanctuary, Kagoron grants the young hero the freight car, which is what Link must use to retrieve Mega Ice from the Wellspring Station in order to cool off the lava and allow the Gorons to enter the village. Once Link manages to bring enough Mega Ice to freeze the lava, he will then have the opportunity to speak with the Goron Elder, who grants Link passage to the trail leading to the Fire Sanctuary to meet with Embrose.

Force Gems
After finishing the Fire Temple, Link can purchase iron for 100 Rupees forged by one of the Gorons. By taking at least five units of this iron to a man in Whittleton, Link will gain a Force Gem that reveals Spirit Tracks between the Forest and Snow Realm. An Anouki will also provide Link with a new Force Gem if taken to Goron Village, but only after Link takes a Goron to Anouki Village.

One Goron is still kept from entering his house due to lava, but if Link brings him Mega Ice, he will be rewarded with a third Force Gem. Lastly, by driving a young Goron to Castle Town, the young hero will gain yet another Force Gem.
