Naydra's Scales are Items in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Location and Uses

Naydra's Scales can be collected from the dragon, Naydra, who rests atop Mount Lanayru. After defeating Malice Naydra and freeing the dragon, Link will be able to shoot its main body and retrieve the Scale. Link must place a Scale inside the Spring of Wisdom to complete the Shrine Quest "The Spring of Wisdom". Doing so will yield the way to Jitan Sa'mi Shrine. A Scale can also be found in a chest inside Hyrule Castle.

Cooking with Naydra's Scales will add 90 seconds to the food's effect and guarantee a critical dish. They can also be used at the Kochi Dye Shop to make Light Blue Dye.

Two of Naydra's Scales, as well as ten Acorns, are needed to upgrade the Tunic of the Wild to its first tier at a Great Fairy Fountain. Another scale can be used to upgrade the Fierce Deity Armor to its first tier. Two scales are required to upgrade the Snow Boots to their fourth tier.

  • Total for Fierce Deity Armor: 1 (1, 0, 0, 0)
  • Total for Tunic of the Wild: 2 (2, 0, 0, 0)
  • Total for Snow Boots: 2 (0, 0, 0, 2)

This precious scale fell from the blue spirit Naydra. It contains a bitter cold within. You can use it in cooking, but just eating it seems like a waste.
