Impaz is an old woman and the only remaining resident of the Hidden Village in Twilight Princess. Impaz' race is never stated in the game, but it is heavily implied that she is a Sheikah. She has pointy ears and red eyes, characteristics of a Sheikah. She lives in the Hidden Village, which a sign identifies as "Old Kakariko", the village of the Sheikahs in OOT. The (former) inhabitants of the village are described as a "tribe that protected and served the Royal Family of Hyrule" on several occasions.<ref>{{cite|I REMEMBER! I thought I had seen that before somewhere... That belonged to the tribe that protected the Hylian royal family long ago. They worked in secret, so they lived in a lonely, forgotten place. But...a rockslide blocked the way to the village long ago, so you can't get there anymore. What? Oh, I do not mean to worry you, little human. Problems like these are not problems to Gorons. Our patriarch, Darbus, will be waiting for you up ahead. Look at your map to see where. In Skyward Sword, Gondo runs the Scrap Shop in the Skyloft Bazaar, and is willing to upgrade Link's items for a price.

Biography

Gondo is the local craftsman of Skyloft, descending from a family whose business involved in repairing broken equipment, or upgrading various equipment at the Scrap Shop in the Bazaar. However, his family has been known for owning an Ancient Robot named Scrapper. As Gondo explains, Scrapper was used by his grandfather to go down to The Surface, and bring back items or supplies for the village. Unfortunately, the robot fell into decay, eventually becoming nonfunctional.[1] Gondo, despite his mother's complaints, spends his day tinkering with the robot so that it can become functional again.

After obtaining the Goddess Harp, Link is instructed by to talk to Gondo about the robot, so that he can use it to find and bring back the windmill propeller from The Surface. Upon doing so, Gondo at first thinks that Link is going to mock him for his story about the Ancient Robot, but eventually reveals to the hero that his grandfather told him that the sap from a Ancient Flower could make the Ancient Robot operational.[2][3] If Link reveals that he has an Ancient Flower, Gondo will quickly use it on Scrapper, making the Ancient Robot functional once again. However, Scrapper refuses to serve Link, even going as far as calling him "Master Shortpants". Fortunately, upon seeing and becoming infatuated with Fi, the Ancient Robot agrees to serve Link and Fi.[4]
