Lizalfos is a recurring lizard-like enemy in Series.
+
Kilton is a character in BotW.
left

Characteristics and Weaknesses
Lizalfos are typically sword-wielding, lizard-like enemies with large tails. In SS, they outfit themselves with large, rocky gauntlets. It is common for Lizalfos to confront Link in pairs. They are very agile in combat and tend to swing their weapon at Link whenever they get a chance, though there are always opportunities to attack the creatures when they drop their guard. They tend to circle Link first and then approach on the counter attack; they can cover long distances by swiftly hopping.

Biography
Ocarina of Time
  +
Kilton is a monster fanatic who owns the Fang and Bone traveling shop. He only appears at night near settlements, selling unique objects such as masks that act as camouflage against specific monsters. Kilton is first heard of through rumors told by travelers about a strange shop specializing in monsters set on the left eye of Skull Lake, in Deep Akkala.Fact Hoz, the guard of East Akkala Stable, will also be searching for him and fears that he is up to no good.Fact Speaking to Hoz will begin the Side Quest, "A Shady Customer", which tasks Link with finding Kilton and reporting back to Hoz.

In OoT, Lizalfos brandish swords and have little armor. They are very agile, for they are able to jump far out of Link's attack range, as well as capable of leaping over the young hero's head to deliver a strike from behind. They first appear in Dodongo's Cavern, where two pairs act as the dungeon's mini-bosses. Despite having to face off against a duo, Link does not have to fight both simutaneously, because one engages the young hero, while the other watches from afar. Befitting their tendency to fight in pairs, after one Lizalfos sustains enough damage, the two switch roles with one another. They are seldom encountered within the game, only appearing as regular enemies later in the Spirit Temple and in certain other dungeons in OoTMQ. A similar enemy known as Dinolfos appears later in the game, as well as in MM (in which Lizalfos do not make an appearance).

  +
When Link investigates said place, he finds Kilton lamenting about the lack of business in such a remote place.Fact He then decides to become a traveling merchant and immediately sets off.Fact From then on, Kilton will be found every night from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM near villages. Kilton is never seen moving his shop. If Link is still around after 5:00 AM, he will stay until spoken to, at which time he will bid his farewell and suddenly disappear to the bewilderment of Link. During the day, the spots where Kilton appears are marked by a signpost.
Twilight Princess
In TP, Lizalfos have an appearance that is more reminiscent of a dinosaur, their tails now roped with an axe blade that they can use as a secondary weapon. They come in two varieties: the normal "Axe-tail" variety and the "Skull-face" variation, which don skulls as helmets. They are easily defeated with Bomb Arrows or Hidden Skills such as the Back Slice and the Mortal Draw. In addition, Wolf Link is able to leap at and bite at their throats. Unlike Ocarina of Time, Lizalfos are much more common - appearing in parts of Hyrule Field in Lanayru Province in addition to numerous dungeons, including the Lakebed Temple, the Temple of Time, the City in the Sky, Hyrule Castle, and the Cave of Ordeals.

  +
When first spoken to on any given night, Kilton is seen searching for something in the back of his shop. He then notices Link's scent, suspecting it is a monster and turns around to be startled before recognizing Link. He will then offer to exchange monster parts for Mon, a currency that Kilton uses. The amount of Mon received varies between what monster part was given, ranging from 1 Mon for an Octo Balloon to 150 Mon for a shard of a Dragon's horn. Mon can be used to purchase various masks or items from Kilton.
Similar but much larger and heavily armored enemies known as Dinolfos (also known as Dynalfos) appear in the Temple of Time and the City in the Sky. They are considerably more dangerous opponents than Lizalfos, capable of dodging the Ending Blow and blocking many other attacks. A winged variety of Lizalfos called the Aeralfos also appears later in the game.

The gear sold by Kilton depends on the number of Divine Beasts Link has freed. At first, Kilton will only propose the cooking material Monster Extract for 9 Mon, the Wooden Mop weapon for 19 Mon and the Bokoblin Mask for 99 Mon. After one Divine Beast, he will add the Spring-Loaded Hammer for 199 Mon and the Moblin Mask for 199 Mon. After two Divine Beasts, he will add the Lizalfos Mask for 299 Mon, the Monster Bridle for 399 Mon and the Monster Saddle for 299 Mon. After the third Divine Beast, he will add the Lynel Mask for 999 Mon. After freeing all four Divine Beasts, Kilton will add the three pieces of the Dark Link Set, comprised of the Dark Hood for 1999 Mon and the Dark Tunic and Dark Trousers for 999 Mon each. Each of these wares can be purchased multiple times, with the exception of the Monster Saddle and Monster Bridle. Kilton will only have one of each item in stock every night, except for the Monster Extract, which has a stock of 20 every night.

:See also: Dark Lizalfos

In SS, Lizalfos are first encountered in the Earth Temple as regular enemies, and as a pair also acts as the dungeon's miniboss, guarding the Bomb Bag. They adorn their forearms with large iron gauntlets that they can utilize in both their offense and defense. For example, the guard prevents them from being knocked over from normal attacks. Besides being adept defenders, Lizalfos are very nimble and can swiftly dodge sword strikes, and they can harm Link by blowing streams of fire and by mashing him with the maces found on the tips of their tails. In addition to the Earth Temple, the saurian creatures can be found at the Lanayru Shipyard, the Pirate Stronghold, and the Volcano Summit. An efficient way to slay a Lizalfos is to use strong attacks that make them fall on the ground such as the Spin Attack. After this happens, Link can use the Fatal Blow to kill them. Defeating a Lizalfos will make it drop a Lizard Tail, which can be collected as Treasure.

  +
Apart from his merchant activity, Kilton is particularly interested in the scent of rare monsters. After Link has defeated every Overworld Boss of a single type in Hyrule at least once, Kilton will notice the scent and award Link with a Medal of Honor associated with the monster. This includes defeating all 40 Stone Talus Bosses to receive the Talus Medal, When defeated, they may drop Lizalfos Horns, Lizalfos Talons and Lizalfos Tails.

  +
Kilton's shop is a trolley with a big hot air balloon-shaped ragtag patchwork of brightly colored cloths, crates and buttons held together by strings and chains. Skulls are displayed on the front of the shop, as well as on the back, with colored bags. Inside the booth behind Kilton are some pots, books, a bokoblin mask and a moblin mask. On the center of the trolley is a big glowing purple ball, in addition to lanterns which also give off light and make the shop particularly noticeable at night. Additionally, there is a horn on the right side of the trolley playing a distinctive and ominous song.
Electric Lizalfos, found in places such as the Gerudo Region and Zonai Ruins, have electrified horns that they can use to generate an electric field. If Link manages to hit said horn with an Arrow, it will cause the Electric Lizalfos to discharge involuntarily. He can use this to his advantage to electrocute nearby enemies. Ice-Breath Lizalfos, typically found in cold areas, will spit icy projectiles at Link. Fire-Breath Lizalfos, found in hot climates such as Death Mountain and the Gerudo Region, can breathe fire at Link.

In LCT, Lizalfos appear as enemies in Level 7: Temple of Time: Ranger. Similar to their appearance from Twilight Princess, Lizalfos can move quickly and counter Link's attacks. They are able to block Link's Crossbow shots with the gauntlet on their left claw, and attack by slashing either the blade they carry or the blade attached to their tails. They can also jump across the room in an attempt to surround Link.

Hyrule Warriors
Lizalfos appear as elite enemies in HW, serving as Captains in several Forces. They resemble a combination between their Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword incarnations. They carry blades and arm gauntlets with them, with which they use to attack and defend with. Lizalfos may also attack either by slamming their foes with their tails or by breathing fire in the form of fireballs or streams. When blowing streams of fire, their Weak Point Gauge is exposed. They are also weak to Bombs.

Lizalfos also appear as minor characters in certain Scenarios. In "Ganondorf's Return", a Lizalfos leads the Monster Forces of the Gerudo Desert. In the Scenario "The Dragon of the Caves" of Cia's Tale, Lizalfos appear as Captains in Volga's Forces, called Lizalfos Chieftains. They are accompanied by Dinolfos Chieftains, and arrive as reinforcements when Cia tries to enlist Volga into her army.

When defeated, Lizalfos may drop their Scales as a Bronze Material, and occasionally their Gauntlet as a Silver Material.

Trivia
*In Twilight Princess, Arrows will stick to Lizalfos indefinitely and can be retrieved.

*Dark Lizalfos have crests on their heads similar to those of Dairas from TAoL.

*While Lizalfos do not appear in games prior to Ocarina of Time, similar enemies known as Geru appear in The Adventure of Link. These enemies may have provided inspiration for Lizalfos.

Biography

Kilton is a monster fanatic who owns the Fang and Bone traveling shop. He only appears at night near settlements, selling unique objects such as masks that act as camouflage against specific monsters. Kilton is first heard of through rumors told by travelers about a strange shop specializing in monsters set on the left eye of Skull Lake, in Deep Akkala.[citation needed] Hoz, the guard of East Akkala Stable, will also be searching for him and fears that he is up to no good.[citation needed] Speaking to Hoz will begin the Side Quest, "A Shady Customer", which tasks Link with finding Kilton and reporting back to Hoz.

When Link investigates said place, he finds Kilton lamenting about the lack of business in such a remote place.[citation needed] He then decides to become a traveling merchant and immediately sets off.[citation needed] From then on, Kilton will be found every night from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM near villages. Kilton is never seen moving his shop. If Link is still around after 5:00 AM, he will stay until spoken to, at which time he will bid his farewell and suddenly disappear to the bewilderment of Link. When first spoken to on any given night, Kilton is seen searching for something in the back of his shop. He then notices Link's scent, suspecting it is a monster and turns around to be startled before recognizing Link.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] He will then offer to exchange monster parts for Mon, a currency that Kilton uses. The amount of Mon received varies between what monster part was given, ranging from 1 Mon for an Octo Balloon to 150 Mon for a shard of a Dragon's horn. Mon can be used to purchase various masks or items from Kilton.

Apart from his merchant activity, Kilton is particularly interested in the scent of rare monsters. After Link has defeated every Overworld Boss of a single type in Hyrule at least once, Kilton will notice the scent and award Link with a Medal of Honor associated with the monster. This includes defeating all 40 Stone Talus Bosses to receive the Talus Medal,[9] all 40 Hinoxes to receive the Hinox Medal and all four Moldugas to receive the Molduga Medal.[10][11]

Appearance

Kilton is smaller than Link, with an elongated head and dark grey skin and eyes. His lower lip bears two marks imitating fangs, a yellow one on the left and a white one on the right. He is mostly bald, with a single, curled tuft of white hair on his forehead, curled mustaches and a beard shaped like five forward-facing horns. He wears striped shorts, no shoes and a weary shirt ornamented with a skull pin and a big cowl with a big hole to fit the top of his head with two brightly colored buttons sew to imitate monster eyes. He also wears gauntlets imitating scaly, clawed monster arms and a ring on each ear.

Kilton's shop is a trolley with a big hot air balloon-shaped ragtag patchwork of brightly colored cloths, crates and buttons held together by strings and chains.
