Biography[]
Moggs and his wife Monari are Hylians who reside in Tarrey Town. They move to Tarrey Town after Fyson opens the Slippery Falcon (Tarrey Town Branch), and they live in the House behind Ore and More. He owns two Hylian Retrievers, which can be found behind his home.[5] During the day, he walks throughout Town. At night, he sleeps in one of the Beds in his House.[6]
When Link first speaks to Moggs, he is pleased to see someone so young visiting Tarrey Town.[7] If Link asks who he is, he introduces himself.[8] He explains that he is retired, and he came to Tarrey Town after hearing a rumor about it.[3] He is glad he did so, and he has even noticed that his Hylian Retrievers seem happier.[5] He invites Link to speak with him at any time.[9]
When Link speaks to Moggs again, he asks him to stay and chat with him.[1][10] If Link asks about his family, Moggs explains that his son who has left to travel the world.[2] While their home feels empty without him, Moggs believes it has brought him closer to Monari.[11] Before Link has completed the "A Parent's Love" Side Quest, Moggs states that he hears Hagie and Ruli fighting during the night.[12] He has considered listening in from behind their House, but he does not want to be nosy.[13] After the Side Quest has been completed, Moggs claims that he has not heard Hagie and Ruli arguing lately.[14] He states that with every obstacle they face together, their relationship grows stronger.[15]
Following this conversation, Link can ask Moggs about Monari, who he claims is likely wandering around Tarrey Town.[16] He claims that she is great at Cooking, and he especially likes her Mushroom Skewer.[17] He suggests that Link speak with her if he has the time.[18]
If Link asks about his pets, Moggs claims to be talking about the Hylian Retrievers behind his House.[19] He has noticed that they enjoy the clean air of Akkala, which makes him glad that they moved.[20]
When Link speaks to Moggs after 9:00 PM, he explains that he is going to Bed and asks to be excused.[21] He may also invite Link to talk to him the next day.[22]
