The Moblin Gear is a recurring archetype of Weapon in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Breath of the Wild[]
Moblin Gear is a variety of equipment wielded by Moblins, which occurs in three tiers of increasing strength and durability. It includes only two types of Weapons, spears and two-handed clubs. Regular Moblin Gear is typically wielded by basic Moblins and is created by crudely carving Trees into shape. It has low Durability due to the poor quality of its construction.[2][3] Moblin Gear with the "Spiked" modifier is a stronger tier of weaponry typically used by Blue Moblins. It is strengthened through the use of Animal bones, giving it greater Durability and damage output.[4][5] The third and strongest variation, Moblin Gear with the "Dragonbone" modifier, is typically wielded by Black Moblins, Silver Moblins, and Golden Moblins. It's reinforced with fossilized bones, which further increases its attack power and Durability beyond those of Spiked Weapons.[6][7]
As all Moblin Gear is formed around a wooden base, all Weapons within this archetype float when they are dropped in Water. They also burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate, but they do not attract Lightning during Thunderstorms or conduct Electricity. Finally, they cannot be manipulated through use of the Magnesis Rune.
