Mila's Father is a character in The Wind Waker.[2]

Biography[]

Mila's Father (Figurine from The Wind Waker)
TWW Mila's Father Figurine Model
Mila's Father
Birthplace: Windfall Island
Favorite Thing: Money

His hobby was once collecting expensive vases, but unfortunately, they were the kind of vase one wants to break as soon as one catches sight of them.

Those who did and were forced to compensate him for his loss were said to regret it afterward.

Mila's father is the very rich man that lives in the Auction House on Windfall Island. If Link should break one of his vases, he forces him to pay the sum of ten Rupees to replace it.[3] If Link has insufficient funds to compensate Mila's father for the damages, he'll be accused of being cheeky and rude.[4]

When his daughter Mila was kidnapped and trapped in the Forsaken Fortress, he spends all of his Rupees paying Tetra and the pirates for her rescue.[5][6] He couldn't sleep knowing Mila was in danger,[7] and, realizing he loved his daughter more than riches, he gave up everything.[8][9] Eventually, he went from being the richest man in Windfall to being the poorest, but learned a valuable lesson about the relative insignificance of money.[10]

He claims he cannot go out and look for a job due to the back problems he has had as of late.[11]

Trivia[]

  • After Mila is returned, Mila's Father claims to have encountered Tetra, who demanded a reward for rescuing his daughter;[6] however, Tetra was with Link when he confronted Ganondorf and was subsequently taken below the waves to Hyrule, meaning the girls were somehow delivered back to Windfall in the short time Link spent battling the Helmaroc King.
  • If the figurine of Mila's father is acquired before the return of his daughter, the Figurine will only show him in his rich clothes. Once she's returned, it will update to include him wearing rags.
