Hyrule Compendium Entry
Mighty Lynel Shields are Shields made by Lynels.[1] They have been reinforced by both armor and many blades.[1] Compared to Lynel Shields, they are stronger in both defense and offense, and they are capable of tearing through armor when deflecting.[1] They are part of the Lynel Gear equipment archetype, a series of Weapons created by Lynels.[2]
Blue-Maned Lynels use these Shields, however White-Maned Lynels in Master Mode will use these Shields. They become scarce as Lynels tier up, though the Blue-Maned Lynel in Hyrule Castle's First Gatehouse will always stay the same, making it a permanent source of Mighty Lynel Shields.
Being made of metal, Mighty Lynel Shields conduct Electricity and attract Lightning if they are equipped during a thunderstorm, and will also sink if dropped in water. They can also be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune, and they will not burn if exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
Other Appearances[]
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity[]
Mighty Lynel Shields can be wielded by Link in conjunction with Mighty Lynel Swords.
