Overview[]

At some point after The Upheaval, "Zelda" gave Yunobo a mask, which radically altered his personality. This mask led to him discover Marbled Rock Roast, an extremely delicious yet dangerous variant of the Goron's favored cuisine. The Gloom-tainted Rock Roast caused nearly all of the Gorons to develop an addiction, drastically reducing their productivity as they spent all their time gorging on it and scamming travelers for money to buy more. However, as the children and elder Gorons weren't able to digest the Marbled Rock Roast, they remained unaffected. Neither the children or the Elders were able to talk any sense into Yunobo.

Link eventually arrives in Goron City, learning about the situation from Bludo, Slergo, and Offrak. Yunobo interrupts their conversation to voice his belief that the Marbled Rock Roast isn't a problem, before leading Slergo and Offrak back to YunoboCo HQ. Link visits YunoboCo HQ to try to talk Yunobo out of it, nearly getting through before "Zelda" uses his mask to force him to attack Link. Fortunately, Link is able to destroy the mask, bringing Yunobo back to his senses. The two of them attempt to catch up with "Zelda" after she flees the situation, and they eventually find her walking into Death Mountain. It is then when Moragia appears out of the mountain and attacks them. With Yunobo's help, Link defeats Moragia and the two decide to jump into Death Mountain Chasm, where they make their way to the Fire Temple. After navigating the temple and opening five padlocks, the two defeat Marbled Gohma, Yunobo receives his ancestor's Secret Stone and becomes the new Sage of Fire. The Marbled Rock Roast vanishes from Goron City, returning the affected Gorons to normal.
