"Oh, you're right... This place is filthy again. It keeps doing that! It's just that I hate cleaning, you know. It would be great if someone would clean the place up for me..."
— Mallara

Mallara is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. She is a resident of Skyloft, and the mother of Pipit. She resides in a house in eastern Skyloft. She is, by her own admission, exceedingly lazy, and a terrible housekeeper.

Spoiler warning: Plot or ending details follow.

After Link receives the Gust Bellows, Mallara asks of him to help him clean his house, in exchange for a reward. After cleaning all cobwebs and dust from the house's beds and surfaces, Mallara gratefully provides him with 20 Rupees, as well as five Gratitude Crystals. If Link returns to Mallara's house later, however, Pipit has an argument with his mother about her paying a housekeeper with his hard-earned money when she should be doing the housework herself. Despite this, Link can repeat the favor for Mallara in order to earn more money.

Spoiler warning: Spoilers end here.

As many residents of Skyloft seem to be named after birds, it is possible that Mallara is named after the mallard.
