Luminous Stone Deposits can be found all around Hyrule, though they're plentiful around Zora's Domain in the Lanayru Great Spring. They can be broken by hitting them with a Weapon or by blowing them up with a Remote Bomb. Whether broken or not, hitting them with a non-wooden weapon or an arrow generates sparks that can start fires. When they break, Luminous Stones can drop. They may also release some Flint, and there is also a chance to get only one or the other instead of both. It's said that they contain quite a bit of Luminous Stone within them, which are easily processed.[2] When they're destroyed, Luminous Stone Deposits will not appear again until after a Blood Moon passes.

Stone Taluses (Luminous) have Luminous Stone Deposits on their bodies.[3] They serve as the Talus's weak spot, and when struck, will deal massive damage and knock it over.
