The Lowder (ローダー, Rōdaa) is an insect[1] with a hard carapace, found in deserts and caves in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It generally moves slowly, but when Link is in direct sight, a Lowder will, much like a Rope in other games, streak straight at him with surprising speed.
Trivia
Another Zelda II enemy, known only by its Japanese name, Aruroda, shares part of its name with the Japanese name for Lowder- Roda- suggesting some kind of link between the two.
