Hyrule Compendium Entry
Lizal Shields are Shields commonly found among Lizalfos.[1] They belong to the Lizalfos Gear equipment archetype, which includes all Weapons created by Lizalfos.[2] The sloppy craftsmanship used to make these Shield leads to their poor Durability.[1] They are wielded by weak Lizalfos, though Fire-Breath Lizalfos, Ice-Breath Lizalfos, and Electric Lizalfos may also use them.
All Lizal Shields are known to be made of metal.[1] Because of this, they conduct Electricity and will Lightning if equipped during a Thunderstorm. They will also sink if they are dropped in Water. However, Lizal Shields can be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune, and they will not burn if exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
Other Appearances[]

Lizal Shields can be wielded by Link in conjunction with Lizal Boomerangs.
