Characteristics and Weaknesses

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, Skullwalltulas are found in many places where there is a collection of vines that Link can climb up. These enemies wait for Link on the vines, then charge at him and knock him off when he attempts to climb. Skullwalltulas are easily dispatched with any ranged weapon such as the Slingshot, Boomerang, Bow, and Hookshot. They can also be knocked off by hitting the ground nearby with the Megaton Hammer. Skullwalltulas can be found Inside the Great Deku Tree, the Forest Temple, and several other dungeons. They resemble miniature versions of Skulltulas.

Majora's Mask

In Majora's Mask, Skullwalltulas appear only in a grotto near the giant tree that bears the Skull Kid's drawing in Termina Field. In the Japanese versions of Majora's Mask, they also appear in a regional-exclusive pathway in the Deku Palace.

Twilight Princess

Skyward Sword

In Skyward Sword, Walltulas can be found climbing on the vines of walls in several places. Link can easily take them out using the Slingshot or the Template:It. He can also defeat Walltulas by making it follow him and then jumping at a wall without vines. Walltulas do not inflict damage, however, getting bitten by one will make Link's Stamina drop faster.

Trivia

  • Walltulas will only charge at Link if he moves while they are facing him. At all other times, they will ignore him.
  • In Ocarina of Time, when a Skullwalltula falls to the ground and before its body burns, the Megaton Hammer can be used to make the creature bounce, as if killing it again. By doing this, it is possible to juggle a Skullwalltula's body on the ground indefinitely.
