This is a list of the characters from Zelda's Adventure, the non-canon game from the Philips CD-i. Link, Princess Zelda, and other characters that are part of canon are listed only with the information relevant to their place in the game.
Zelda
Zelda is once again the playable character like in The Wand of Gamelon, but her mood and personality is completely different. In fact, much like Link in the canon games, she doesn't talk at all, and appears as a humble, chosen warrior. She is summoned to Tolemac (Camelot backwards) by the wizard Gaspra. Link was apparently adventuring there and was kidnapped by Ganon, who also stole the celestial signs. Zelda then defeated Ganon's minions, restored the signs, and struck down Ganon himself, rescuing Link and saving Tolemac.
Gaspra
An old wizard who is an astronomer in Tolemac. He learns of Ganon's conquest of Tolemac, and uses magic to summon Zelda. He gives her the magic pendant, which grants her the strength to fight against Ganon, and tells her to save the celestial signs and Link, and that each sign she acquires will give her knowledge. He then congratulates her for saving Tolemac after she does so, and says that the people of the land will never forget her.
Link
Link is again much different than his The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon characterization. He is more similar to the canon version in appearance, but his manner is only hinted at. He was apparently adventuring in Tolemac, but was captured by Ganon. At the end of the game, when Ganon is defeated, Link and Zelda return to Hyrule.
Ganon
Ganon is, like the others, very different from his other CD-i versions. He appears in the game as a final boss, but as a tall, grayish minotaur-like being. He has stolen the celestial signs and captured Link, prompting Zelda to defeat him. During the fight, he wields a large trident similar to the one in Four Swords Adventures and others. His castle, much like canonical ones, has the bosses that were fought earlier in it, to be fought again. Once defeated, his body is encased in a tornado, which then flies apart, destroying him.
