The Kuhn Sidajj Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Kuhn Sidajj's Blessing,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine[]

Kuhn Sidajj Shrine is on the shore of Lake Saria in the southwest corner of the Lost Woods. Link must first talk to Zooki at the entrance of the Korok Trial, who will give Link the "Trial of Second Sight" Shrine Quest. This Quest requires Link to follow a path of Ogre Trees with metal Boulders in them through the Lost Woods.[2]

Using the Magnesis Rune will highlight the metal Boulders, making it much easier for Link to see the path. Once Link follows the path, he must place a Rusty Shield into the mouth of an Ogre Tree, which causes a metallic Treasure Chest containing a piece of Amber to appear in the mouth of its brother.[3] The Treasure Chest was stolen from an Ogre Tree on a small island in Lake Saria.[4] Returning the Treasure Chest to the mouth of the Ogre Tree on the island causes Kuhn Sidajj Shrine to rise on the Lake's northeastern shore, completing the Shrine Quest.

As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Kuhn Sidajj, who states that merely being able to enter the Shrine is proof of his worth.[5]

Themes and Navigation[]

Kuhn Sidajj Shrine features no puzzles, simply a direct path to Kuhn Sidajj. Along this path is a Treasure Chest containing a Giant Ancient Core. As Link approaches Kuhn Sidajj, the Monk will give Link a Spirit Orb for reaching the Ancient Shrine.[6] They will then wish Link well before fading away.[7]
