Fire Babas are flower-like enemies found in the Fire Sanctuary in ST.

Columns of Light are bright pillars that appear in SS.<ref>{{Cite|Master Link... Observe. The green pillar before you is a column of light. ==Characteristics and Behavior==

Fire Babas look like a simple bulb, but when approached, the creature sprouts out of the bulb. Fire Babas, when in flower form, can spit a fire ball that does a quarter of a heart damage. If Link gets close, however, they will try to eat him. If they swallow the young hero and if the stylus is not rubbed back and forth, they will cause about a heart and 3 quarters of a heart damage. When the Fire Baba is sliced once, its bulb part will fly off. Even though it looses its fire ability, when it eats Link, it does greater damage.

Location and Uses
Using the Whip on a Fire Baba will risk pulling the bulb towards Link, getting swallowed in the process. Without its stem, Fire Babas are more versatile and cannot be stunned by a Boomerang. Boomerangs are only effective when the Fire Baba still has a stem. Bombs and Arrows are very effective.

Columns of Light are bright pillars that appear in Skyward Sword.[1] They allow access to The Surface and facilitate navigation while above and below the clouds.

Location and Uses

Access to the Surface

Because the Surface and The Sky are separated by a Cloud Barrier created by the goddess Hylia, many of the Skyloftians are unaware of what lies below the clouds and believe it to be a forsaken and barren place.[2][3]

Each time Link places an Ancient Tablet in the altar within the Statue of the Goddess, a Column of Light of the respective color of both the region and the tablet will appear and make an opening in the cloud barrier.[4][5] The pillar, which is visible from anywhere in the Sky, allows the young hero to go through the cloud barrier and reach the Surface by dropping off near the column with the aid of his Loftwing.[6]

Waypoint

Main article: Beacon

When Link places a Beacon on his Map, either on the Surface or the Sky, a blue Column of Light will appear, acting as his waypoint to reach the desired location. Once the young hero has no more need of the Beacon, he can remove it, causing the Column of Light to vanish as well.<ref>"When a beacon is marked on your Map, a column of light will stand at that location. It will act as your waypoint from afar." — Impa (Skyward Sword)</ref
