The Koholint Sword is an item in Link's Awakening.[2][note 1]

Location and Uses[]

Link can replace his Sword with the Koholint Sword by finding and bringing 20 Secret Seashells in Link's Awakening or 40 in Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch to the Spirit of the Mansion in the Seashell Mansion.[1]

When Link's Heart Meter is full, the Koholint Sword emits Sword Beams when he uses it.[1]

Trivia[]

  • When Link receives the Koholint Sword, he is urged to write his name on it.[2] This is a reference to his previous Sword, which has his name engraved on it.[3]

Notes

  1. Koholint Sword was referred to as the Level 2 Sword in all versions of Link's Awakening prior to Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch.[1] However, as this contradicts the name given in Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch, it is not considered Canon.
