"Hyrulean knights once outfitted their horses with this bridle. It boasts additional armor to protect the horse's head and neck."
— In-game description

Knight's Bridle is a key item from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a bridle once used by the Knights of Hyrule to outfit their horses and boasts additional armor to protect the horse's head and neck in horseback combat. Link can obtain the Knight's Bridle as a mini-game reward at the Mounted Archery Camp for hitting 20 or more targets, and can equip it to his horse by talking to female Stable hands at certain Stables.

It is unclear if the armored bridle actually provides Enhanced Defense as its description implies to horses wearing it or if its purely cosmetic like other Bridles save for the DLC Ancient Bridle. Given that horses lack a proper defense statistic and no indication it actually does so (such as a number showing an actual increase in defense such as that shown Armor is being equipped by Link) it is likely cosmetic as the only bridle that effects stats, the Ancient Bridle increases a Horse's stamina by two stars giving it two Spurs as a horse's stamina stat actually effects its number of Spurs. Unlike defense, Stamina is one of the three horse stats. Additionally their is no incarnation its corresponding Saddle effects defense at all as its description makes no reference to the saddle's armored portions which implies both the Bridle and Saddle are purely cosmetic from a game mechanics standpoint as it would make little sense for the bridle's armor sections to increase defense but not the saddle's armor sections.
