Fire Babas are flower-like enemies found in the Fire Sanctuary in ST.
The Hammer, also known as the Magic Hammer in some games, is a recurring item in Series. It can be used to press switches, destroy boulders, or as a weapon.

Fire Babas look like a simple bulb, but when approached, the creature sprouts out of the bulb. Fire Babas, when in flower form, can spit a fire ball that does a quarter of a heart damage. If Link gets close, however, they will try to eat him. If they swallow the young hero and if the stylus is not rubbed back and forth, they will cause about a heart and 3 quarters of a heart damage. When the Fire Baba is sliced once, its bulb part will fly off. Even though it looses its fire ability, when it eats Link, it does greater damage.

In TAoL, the Hammer is found within the Death Mountain region of western Hyrule. It is used to smash large boulders that are occasionally found in Hyrule's overworld, often unblocking pathways and revealing new objects underneath. It can also be used to cut trees down in the overworld.

  +
Using the Whip on a Fire Baba will risk pulling the bulb towards Link, getting swallowed in the process. Without its stem, Fire Babas are more versatile and cannot be stunned by a Boomerang. Boomerangs are only effective when the Fire Baba still has a stem. Bombs and Arrows are very effective.
A Link to the Past
In ALttP, the Magic Hammer is found in the Palace of Darkness. It serves many purposes as both a tool and a weapon. In both dungeons and the overworld, it can remove obstacles from Link's path, allowing him to pass into otherwise inaccessible areas. As a weapon, it can be used to dispatch enemies such as Helmasaurs, and is essential in defeating Terrorpins in the Palace of Darkness. It is also capable of shattering the faceplate of the Helmasaur King. Against most enemies, it deals as much damage as the Tempered Sword, but its reach is much shorter. Freezing enemies with the Ice Rod and then breaking them with the Magic Hammer instantly defeats them, often yielding a Magic Jar.

In OoT, the Megaton Hammer is found in the Fire Temple. It is used to break certain boulders and smash in rusted switches. It can also be used to smash blocks for access to new areas and to open Secret Grottoes. It does as much damage as the Master Sword, but it has slow speed compared to Link's Swords. It can be used against certain enemies, such as Tektites, to flip them over and attack them. If used on the ground close to a wall with a Skullwalltula, it will knock the spider off and defeat it without hitting it directly.

According to Goron legends, a mythic hero of the Gorons and an ancestor to Darunia, patriarch of the Gorons, used the Megaton Hammer in battle against Volvagia. Wielding the powerful Hammer, he was victorious and sealed the dragon in the fires of Death Mountain. Thus, it is necessary to defeat Volvagia. The Megaton Hammer is also effective in the final battle with Ganon for attacking his tail.

In TWW, the Skull Hammer is found upon returning to the Forsaken Fortress and defeating Phantom Ganon. It is used for hitting switches and enemies. When used, it causes shockwaves which can stun nearby enemies. It can also be swung sideways to knock enemies. If Link hits a Miniblin with a vertical attack, it will flatten. If he hits with a horizontal attack, the Miniblin will fly a long distance in the air and explode. If he hits the ground near a Miniblin, it will fly high in the air, coming down after a few seconds. It is necessary to defeat the Helmaroc King, as it is the only weapon that can break its faceplate.

In FSA, the Magic Hammer is one of the items the Links have the option of picking up. It can smash stakes, stumps, and several other obstacles. By holding the A Button, the Links can charge the Hammer which, upon release, sends out a shockwave which dazes enemies momentarily. It can be upgraded to the L2 Hammer, which makes it more powerful, sending much larger shockwaves. The Magic Hammer can also knock Force Gems from their hiding spot beneath the soil. Shadow Link can also use the Hammer to interrupt the Links by sending unavoidable but harmless dazes.

In PH, the Hammer can be found in Mutoh's Temple, where it is used to defeat the temple's boss, Eox. It is also used to pound at objects and enemies. It is one of the most powerful weapons in the game. The Hammer is controlled by holding and moving the Stylus on the DS screen, which will drag Ciela around as she shows where the Hammer will land on. It is possible to pound on objects and enemies that are far away from Link. When held for a while longer, the Hammer will grow into a gigantic size and will make a much stronger pound. The Hammer can defeat Stalfos in a single hit. By using it in conjunction with the Phantom Sword, it is possible to defeat a Phantom without being seen by hiding in a Safe Zone. The Hammer can also be used in several springboards that will take Link into the air if he stands on it and pounds against it with the Hammer. It cannot be used while on stairs.

In ALBW, the Hammer can be rented in Ravio's Shop. It is needed to progress through the Tower of Hera. It can be used to pound Moles into the ground, and if Link stands on it, the platform will spring back up. lifting him into midair. Big Moles can also take him to the next upper floor. If Link buys the Hammer, he can upgrade it to the Nice Hammer, which does more damage to enemies and sends a shockwave to stun them.

In TFH, the Magic Hammer deals double damage to enemies. It creates a shock wave when used, which can destroy bushes and stones. It can also stun enemies. The Magic Hammer can be used to pound down stakes, destroy ice crystals, defeat Deadrocks, and make use of Moles. It first appears in the Ice Cavern's Silver Shrine, in which all three Links must use it. It later appears in the Ice Temple, the Desert Temple, Dragon Citadel, and the Sky Temple, as well as in the Coliseum's Ice Cavern and The Ruins arenas. The effects of the Magic Hammer is improved while wearing the Hammerwear. This Outfit doubles the item's shockwave size and damage output, while it can be swung quicker.

After doing a quick dance to get himself pumped up, Darunia swings his Hammer down hard at his foes four times, the final strike causing a small explosion ahead of him. This attack does damage in a small range ahead of Darunia, and carries the Fire Element, making the thrown enemies take additional damage as they land.

Template:Enemy Fire Babas are flower-like enemies found in the Fire Sanctuary in Spirit Tracks.

Characteristics and Behavior

Fire Babas look like a simple bulb, but when approached, the creature sprouts out of the bulb. Fire Babas, when in flower form, can spit a fire ball that does a quarter of a heart damage. If Link gets close, however, they will try to eat him. If they swallow the young hero and if the stylus is not rubbed back and forth, they will cause about a heart and 3 quarters of a heart damage.
