The Jitan Sa'mi Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Jitan Sa'mi's Blessing,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Jitan Sa'mi Shrine is located on top of Mount Lanayru, behind the Spring of Wisdom. To access the Ancient Shrine, Link must rid Naydra of the Malice that has infested its body. As thanks for this feat, Naydra will drop its Scale, which can be placed in the waters of the Spring of Wisdom to remove the stone door protecting Jitan Sa'mi Shrine. As Link enters the Shrine, he is greeted by the Shrine's Monk, Jitan Sa'mi, who states that merely being able to enter the Shrine is proof of Link's worth.[2]

Themes and Navigation

Jitan Sa'mi Shrine features no puzzles, simply a direct path to Jitan Sa'mi. Along this path is a Treasure Chest containing a Frostspear. As Link approaches Jitan Sa'mi, he will give Link a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial,[3] and will wish Link well before fading away.[4]
