The Timer is an item in Tri Force Heroes.
Locations and Uses
The Timer is an object found sometimes in Timed Challenges in the Drablands. They will grant the Links more time to complete the challenge, with small Timers giving the Links an extra 5 seconds, while the big Timers giving the Links an extra 20 seconds. These can be upgraded while wearing the Linebeck's Uniform outfit during the challenge, although it will only affect the Link in the outfit. This will give the Link who is wearing the outfit 1.5 extra seconds when he grabs a Timer, making it for small Timers gives 7.5 seconds and the big Timers gives 30 seconds. This items will reappear after fainting, even if already obtained, meaning you can gain extra time at a cost of a Fairy. For example if Link begins with 30 seconds, and gets a small Timer and faints, he will re-spawn with 35 seconds, and the extra Timer is there already, but this is ineffective as it costs a Fairy...
The Timers are introduced in the "Complete within time limit!" and "Transport the orb in time!" challenges, once the boss is defeated in their temple/lair. It's design is some-what similar to the Phantom Hourglass item, which is likely why they chose Linebeck's uniform to upgrade the hourglasses
