Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is a port and adaptation of Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends for the Nintendo Switch. It includes all previously released content from both games, including every map, character, mission, and downloadable content.[6] This puts the amount of playable Warriors at a total of 29.[7] The game features 1080p HD resolution in TV mode and 2 player multiplayer on one Nintendo Switch console both in TV mode and on the device itself, and can be played with a single Joy-Con controller[8].

Story

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition includes all the story content from both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends. This includes all Scenarios featured in Legend Mode, including the Scenarios in the "Cia's Tale," "Linkle's Tale," and "Wind Waker" arcs.

Gameplay

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition's gameplay is identical to Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends including all Modes, Warriors and Stages from those games. In addition, the game adds new Link and Zelda Costumes based on their appearance in Breath of the Wild.[9]

Development

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition was announced in a Nintendo Direct Mini on January 11, 2018. Like Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends, it was developed by Koei Tecmo Games Co., Ltd.[1]

Release

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition was released on March 22, 2018 for Japan and May 18, 2018 for North America and Europe.[3][10][11]

Pre-Order Bonuses

The Nintendo Official UK Store bundled pre-orders of Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition with a free Green Rupee Light by Merchoid. When the Green Rupee Light sold out, the game was then bundled with a Triforce Light.
