This article or section contains information about an unreleased Video Game.

It is likely to contain information of a speculative nature and the content may change dramatically as more information becomes available.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is an upcoming game for the Nintendo Switch. It includes all previously released content from Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends, including every map, character, mission, and all downloadable content.[6] This puts the amount of playable Warriors at a total of 29.[7] The game will feature 1080p HD resolution in TV mode and 2 player multiplayer on one Nintendo Switch console both in TV mode and on the device itself.[8] It can be played with a single Joy-Con controller.[8]

The game adds new Link and Zelda Costumes based on their appearance in Breath of the Wild.[9]

Story

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition is set to include all the story content from both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends. This includes the main plot from Legend Mode, Cia's Tale, Linkle's Tale, and the Saga of the Great Sea.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very similar to Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors series of video games, in which characters fight large armies of enemies and generals on a battlefield, but instead uses the setting and characters from The Legend of Zelda series. As such, it is the most combat-intensive Zelda game thus far, with hordes of enemies on the screen at once.

Game Information

Release

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will be released in spring 2018 for North America and Europe and on March 22, 2018 for Japan.[10][11][3]
