At the beginning of the game, Ganondorf lifted Hyrule Castle using Gloom and created an opening leading down to Gloom's Approach known as Hyrule Castle Chasm. Above is Hyrule Castle and its bottom half which the Zonai survey team and Hoz are researching the area and Zelda's whereabouts.
