Howling Stones are Objects in Twilight Princess.[1][note 1] They are stones that enable Link to learn new Hidden Skills.
Location and Uses[]
When standing next to a Howling Stone, Link is able to hear the wind blowing a tune. In wolf form, Link must howl the tune next to the stone; afterwards, he is transported to another landscape, where he must howl the tune again. This time, however, the White Wolf will howl with him.
There is no Howling Stone for the first meeting with the White Wolf, since Link encounters him on the way to the Forest Temple in Faron Woods. There is an additional Howling Stone with the symbol of the Triforce as opposed to the Sheikah Eye Symbol in the Sacred Grove. It is required to venture further into the grove.
Most Howling Stones can be howled in any order; however, Hidden Skills are always learned in the same order.
