"Sniff sniff sniff sniff... Hey, Brother, you smell like you have some hot spring water there... If I took a drink of that, I would feel so strong, I could probably get rid of these rocks!"

Hot Spring Water is a recurring item in the Legend of Zelda series. This special variety of water can be put into a bottle and applied to anything that may need it. Hot Spring Water has special powers, but turns back into normal Water after a short time.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Hot Spring Water can be found at Hot Springs in the Goron Graveyard, a Hidden Hole on one of the Twin Islands, and Beneath the Well. It will cool to regular water after one minute of real time, and will not cool any slower if time is slowed. Link can use Hot Spring Water to melt blocks of ice before he receives the Fire Arrows. Hot Spring Water must be used to thaw out the Goron Elder, who teaches Link part of the "Goron Lullaby". Hot Spring Water must also be given to a Gibdo found Beneath the Well in Ikana.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Hot Spring Water can be acquired from the hot springs on Death Mountain and Kakariko Village by scooping some up in a Bottle. After Link helps to take a barrel of the water to Hyrule Castle Town, it can also be bought from a Goron; Link can buy water from this merchant and give it to a Goron who will clear a rock barrier blocking the southern entrance of the Castle Town from southern Hyrule Field.

When Link is asked by Gor Liggs to help take a barrel of Hot Spring Water to his son, Link must take the barrel through the enemy-ridden Hyrule Field without the barrel breaking. After Link splashes the water upon the Goron, he restores his Hot Spring Water sale, allowing Link to buy them in town for a reduced price of 20 Rupees. Because the Goron gives some of his income to Malo Mart, the amount of Rupees that Link has to donate in order to fund the Castle Town Branch of Malo Mart is decreased from 2,000 Rupees to 200 Rupees.
