The Hero of Hyrule is a costume option for Bayonetta in the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2. When wearing the Hero of Hyrule outfit, Bayonetta or Jeanne will resemble Link by wearing the Hero's Clothes and equipping the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. While the Master Sword is normally sheathed in this outfit, Bayonetta or Jeanne can wield it in both games if she is wielding the Shuraba or Angel Slayer, respectively (though in Bayonetta 2, the Master Sword is its own weapon until the Shuraba/Angel Slayer is unlocked). She can also use the Hylian Shield to parry, much like the Moon of Mahaa-kalaa accessory, without equipping the latter. Halos, which the game uses as currency, will be also be replaced with Rupees. When performing actions like opening treasure chests, sound effects from A Link to the Past (Bayonetta) or the NES's The Legend of Zelda (Jeanne) are played.

Originally the costume featured an undershirt like Link's original costume, but it was removed by Nintendo's request as they felt it did not suit Bayonetta's character.
