This octorok page has a special comment about them being in Twilight Princess, (which directly conflicts with the information in the sidebar) but I can't find any source to verify this. If the author of the note can't provide a source, or some kind of evidence, like providing the location of them in the game, I don't believe the note should be considered valid information.

I'll look at that because they are not in the game, im positive.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. -Garsh

Reorganizing the page?

It was suggested that the Winged Octorok should be merged with this page, and it got me to thinking. Shouldn't the Octorok page, if the Winged Octorok gets merged, have the locations and descriptions be split into sections for Land Based Octoroks, Aquatic Octoroks, and Octoroks with the ability to fly/jump unusually far, for easier navigation? --Icalasari 22:51, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

If it looks like a Scrub, it moves like a Scrub...

...it's probably a Deku Scrub. Do we really have confirmation that the "Octorok" from Skyward Sword is, in fact, an Octorok? Look at it. It's got leaves on its head, it pops out of the ground, and it's in a forest-themed area. Unless someone can confirm that that thing is a cephalopod, I think it the section needs to be moved to the Deku Scrub page. Bpenguin17 17:23, 5 September 2010 (EDT)

It's confirmed. Unless Shigeru got his enemies mixed up. XD He calls it an Octorok during the E3 presentation: Here. Watch at time sig 4:40 for the quote. =) Embyr 75  --Talk-- 20:33, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Yep. Even if he did make a mistake, going off of an official source is better, as the game remains unreleased, as opposed to guessing. User:Cipriano 119/sig 21:03, 5 September 2010 (EDT)
Yeah, you both are right. I'm not going to contradict Miyamoto when it comes to Zelda. But if it turns out that it is a Deku Scrub, am I allowed to email him an "I told you so"? Just kidding. ;) Bpenguin17 00:38, 6 September 2010 (EDT)
Shiggy is rather well known for getting the details of his games mixed up. He has done it before many times. Especially now that he has a larger role at Nintendo, he doesn't actually know all the fine details of the games these days like he used to when he was the head of development for them. I wouldn't hold him that highly in it. I'd rather wait for the game to come out before making a judgement call on the name.User:Matt/sig 04:59, September 6, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, Matt's right as well, but as a placeholder, we might as well put it in with Octorok for the time being as its been labeled as such by "Shiggy" lol User:Cipriano 119/sig 02:26, 6 September 2010 (EDT)

It is an octorok. If you look closely when they die you can see their tentacles. 15:41, 11 September 2010 (EDT)

Since the Ocean/Water Octoroks have not only an offical canon name, but co-exist with normal Octoroks I propse a split. I think it should only include the ones from Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Tri Force Heroes, and Breath of the Wild since the ones in OoT, MM, and WW aren't named as such.
