Hyrule Compendium Entry
Hearty Truffles can be found below trees in the Great Hyrule Forest and Hyrule Field. They can be purchased from establishments such as the Spore Store and the East Wind or from the travelling merchant Cambo. They can be eaten to restore two Hearts. When cooked in a Cooking Pot, the resulting food will grant Link temporary Hearts.[1] Hearty Truffles that are exposed to Fire turn into Toasted Hearty Truffles. At the Kochi Dye Shop, they can be used as an ingredient to create Black Dye.
Like other mushrooms, Hearty Truffles can be used in a Cooking Pot to make Cream of Mushroom Soup, a Fish and Mushroom Skewer, Fragrant Mushroom Sauté, Fruit and Mushroom Mix, Glazed Mushrooms, a Meat and Mushroom Skewer, a Mushroom Omelet, Mushroom Rice Balls, Mushroom Risotto, a Mushroom Skewer, Copious Mushrooms Skewers, Salt-Grilled Mushrooms, and Steamed Mushrooms.
