Guardian Scouts IV are Enemies in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Characteristics[]
Hyrule Compendium Entry
The Guardian Scout IV is the strongest variation of the Guardian Scout, found within "A Major Test of Strength" Ancient Shrines. In order to complete these shrines, Link must defeat the Guardian Scouts IV inside. Being the most upgraded versions, Guardian Scouts IV are capable of wielding three weapons at once.[2] They are equipped with any combination of a Guardian Sword++, Guardian Shield++, Guardian Spear++, or Ancient Battle Axe++. They are distinguished by a third upwards facing projection which is connected to the other two by small rails.
Abilities:
- Uses regular attack patterns
- If on a Cryonis Block, will jump to break said block
- If target is elevated on Cryonis block
- Long range: Begins trying to snipe you with its laser. If it's also elevated, it will shoot faster until you fail to parry it, in which case it will break the Block it's currently on.
- Short range: Melts the block with the same laser it burns the floor with. Can be soft-locked by timing a Cryonis Block beneath it. The result is it firing its small laser indefinitely into empty space.
- Like all other models, it can execute a Spin Attack which can only be blocked by an obstacle or Parry. Can be interrupted by Remote Bombs.
- Will back away from littered Remote Bombs and will shoot them at a safe range.

Trivia[]
- If a player reflects a small Guardian Laser at a long enough distance and one of the Scout's forward-facing hands has a shield, the Guardian Scout IV will use its shield to reflect the Guardian Laser. The resulting refection, thankfully, does no damage and simply phases through Link.
- Activating a Cryonis block underneath a Guardian Scout while it's spinning will cause it to land and continue spinning. If you Cryonis Launch it using said technique, it will glitch and freeze.
