Guardian Gear is a set of weaponry wielded by Guardian Scouts found in Ancient Shrines. During "A Minor Test of Strength" trials, Link will encounter a Guardian Scout II, wielding a piece of Guardian Gear at its first tier. In "A Moderate Test of Strength" trials, there will be one Guardian Scout III, which will wield two pieces of Guardian Gear at their second tier. Finally, a Guardian Scout IV will be encountered during "A Major Test of Strength Trials", wielding three pieces of Guardian Gear at their third tier.

Guardian Gear was made in ancient times with the technology of the Sheikah tribe. At its highest level, it's known to surpass the abilities of its metallic counterparts. Guardian Shields are known to be able to deflect the beams of Guardian Scouts.
