The Gripshot is an Item in Tri Force Heroes.[1]

Location and Uses[]

The Gripshot functions similarly to the Hookshot and Clawshot, in that it fires a gripper that can pull Rupees, Hearts, and other Items towards Link. The Gripshot's main use is to transport the Links; once it attaches to a stake or to another Link, the Gripshot quickly retracts, pulling the Link who used it towards whatever it grabbed onto. This allows the Links to cross gaps that are too wide for them to be thrown over. It can also be used to destroy Jars and bushes, stun stronger Enemies, and pull weaker Enemies, like Keese, Chasupa and Water Tektites, towards the Link who used it. Certain foes, like Gyorm and Arrghus, require the use of the Gripshot in order to be defeated. In the Riverside, wooden rafts can only be moved if a Link stands atop one and pulls himself toward a point which the Gripshot can grab onto.

The Gripshot first appears in the Cove of Transition, in which all three Links acquire one. The Item reappears in the Water Temple (two Gripshots), Training Ground, The Lady's Lair, Stone Corridors, Gibdo Mausoleum, Lone Labyrinth, Grim Temple, Floating Garden, Deception Castle (two Gripshots), and Sky Temple (one Gripshot per Stage). The Gripshot also appears in the Flooded Zone, Scorching Zone, Desert Zone and Baneful Zone of the Den of Trials, as well as the Coliseum's Riverside, Fortress and The Ruins arenas.

The effects of the Gripshot is improved while wearing Robowear. This Outfit allows the Gripshot to extend much faster and further, pull larger Enemies toward Link, and deal damage to some Enemies.
