The Gorae Torr Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Gorae Torr's Blessing,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine[]

The Gorae Torr Shrine is located on top of Gut Check Rock in northeastern Eldin. It is initially blocked by Bayge of the Goron Blood Brothers, as the Shrine's Travel Gate is considered sacred to the group.[2] His refusal initiates "The Gut Check Challenge" Shrine Quest.

Bayge will only move once Link has completed the Gut Check Rock Challenge Mini-Game, in which Link must climb the pinnacle while collecting at least 100 Rupees in under three minutes.[3] Once Link has done so, Bayge will move out of his way and allow him access to the Shrine.[4] As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he will be greeted by its Monk, Gorae Torr.[5]

Themes and Navigation[]

Gorae Torr Shrine is a single and straight-forward room that immediately leads to the Monk's Pedestal bearing Gorae Torr. A Treasure Chest in the center of the room contains a Great Frostblade. Once Link approaches Gorae Torr, he is presented with a Spirit Orb for arriving at the Ancient Shrine.[6] The Monk will then wish Link well and fade away.[7]
