My Page

Thanks for coming to visit! Welcome to my page, weary traveller. I have finally finished Year 12 (starting 26th), and hopefully I can dedicate a lot of time to this site for a while. I try and make an effort to do what I can for this site. I'm a devoted storywriter, and I long to have one of my stories published. I haven't sent any of my stories in yet, because I'm still working on them...

I am, apart from Melchizedek, as far as I know, the only Australian on this Wiki.

I love quotes and storywriting. I will list some of my favourite quotes around the page.

I have read many of the mangas, a few being OoT, MM, Link's Awakening, the Oracle series, the Minish Cap and the first part of ALTTP. If anyone wants a page updated with what the manga mentions about something, feel free to ask.

The chronology of the series? See Zelda Timeline section.

Everything you see in my userboxes, I like. Unless I say differently.

How did I come here?

I first arrived here when searching for quality images of certain characters. As I looked for them, I stumbled upon this site, which (in most cases) has great images AND information to go with them. By this time, I was familiar with the concept of a Wiki (having being associated with Wikipedia, Devil May Cry Wiki, WOWWIKI and Halo Wiki (later becoming Halopedia)). Although impressive, I quickly discovered several things I could fix up, and I thought to myself it'd be better to get credit for fixing those small things up, rather than doing it anonymously. So, I decided to register the name I use on every site I register with: Yuvorias.

Yuvorias

What does Yuvorias mean? Yuvorias is an antagonist in a story I wrote for Year 9 English, a creature more powerful than anything in the Zelda universe. He sounds overpowered, I'm sure, but I have characters who can match him. Anyway, that's where Yuvorias comes from.

Felicia

La v2

It's that fairy!

See that fairy on Link's head? That's Felicia. I love Felicia. She's my favourite non-canonical Zelda thing in the world. Nothing beats Felicia. She's the kind of character that's funny, but by the time the emotion starts coming, you really start caring about her. I really want to expand her article, and it's a shame it can never qualify for "featured" status. Especially not now, since it's WAY too short. I'm planning to give Felicia a massive overhaul very soon.

She is the greatest of Link's fairy partners, especially since she's not just a ball of light like Navi, Tatl and Ciela. With her, the mystery of how Link carries the Eight Instruments of the Siren is solved: she turns them into light, and restores them when Link needs them.

Oh well, I had better move onto the next topic...

Game Consoles

I'm not just a Nintendo man. Nintendo is awesome, but to put it simply, it misses out on a lot of good games. I don't know how long I'd be around without Zelda...it's the game that keeps the Nintendo 64 coming out. Anyway, I own:

  • Computer (duh) First Game: Diablo II
  • Super Nintendo (missing cords) First Game: The Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants
  • Gameboy Colour x 2 First Game: Super Mario Bros Deluxe
  • Gameboy Advance First Game: Dragonball Z: The Legacy of Goku
  • Gameboy Advance SP First Game: Pokemon Sapphire
  • Nintendo 64 First Game: Super Mario 64
  • Gamecube First Game: Metroid Prime
  • Xbox First Game: Halo
  • Xbox 360 First Game: Halo 3

Games

Well now, when it comes to the games, what are my favourites? After looking at some of the other user pages on the Zelda Wiki, I suddenly feel obliged to state my favourites. So, here they are!

1. Ocarina of Time

After much consideration, I conclude that Twilight Princess is awesome in every aspect, but I grew up with Ocarina of Time, and it's the one I've played above almost every other Zelda game. It is THE story I grew up loving, and to date I've finished it over and over well past 40 times. Other games have better features, but the love I have for this game nets it spot number one.

Favourite Moment: Opening the Door of Time as a child. The music there is EPIC.

Least Favourite Moment: Water Temple...ugh. Dark Link is the only redeeming factor. Morpha...too annoying, after such a hard temple. To my credit, I've never gotten stuck in it.

Extra Comments: The Redeads in this game...I was SO scared of them when I first saw them. They are at their all-time scariest in OoT, and somehow even MM failed to capture my fear the same way OoT did. Perhaps it's because they can die in one hit on MM...

2. Twilight Princess

The very best in terms of what you can do. Beautifully detailed, I could never get sick of this game. It was a very close battle with Ocarina of Time, but eventually I was forced to stick this into slot number 2. In fact, this was almost beaten by number 4! More on that soon.

Favourite Moment: Battle with Zant. An amusing battle that reminded me very much of the battle against Majora's Mask. I loved the music that played during the battle, particularly in phases 1, 3 and 4.

Least Favourite Moment: Anything involving Sumo wrestling. Again, ugh. This is the only moment of the game which made me groan. Good thing it wasn't a huge part of the story.

Extra Comments: The Twilight Realm threw me off at first, but I got used to it quickly. Horseback battle is nothing short of awesome, and the bosses in this game are so awesome...I could go on for ages. But, the next.

3: The Wind Waker

I did NOT think this game would reach anything above place 6, when I first turned it on. I was one of the people who was groaning in disgust at the cel-shading, and I actually swore when I first heard of it that I would NEVER play it. However, after a long time, I finally decided to buy it, after I saw it on Ebay along with Master Quest, after reading about how good it was. At first, I was afraid I was right, but I quickly found ALL my suspicions to be misplaced. I hated nothing in this game. The sailing, said to become tedious by all reviews, never became tedious. Even Tingle, said to be incredibly annoying, wasn't as annoying as I thought he'd be. Somehow, this game captured my heart, and earned itself bronze prize.

Favourite Moment: How Link first enters the Forsaken Fortress. Read a little lower for more info.

Least Favourite Moment: Carlov and Manny. They're too damn creepy. Also, any moment that ends with a heart in speech. Ugh.

Extra Comments: Princess Zelda may be the only character who has a cel-shaded form which I like even better than her "real" form. I am a big fan of her appearance in this game. I also love Medli in this game.

4. Majora's Mask

I love the lives the NPC's have in this game. They're not just souless suppliers of information as they are in so many other games, they actually have things to do, which they do try and accomplish, instead of just talking about it. The dark, surreal attitude of this game is engaging, and the fact that Link is, apart from Tatl, truly alone is what seperates it from the rest. Until the end, not even the friends he makes remember him with the playing of the Song of Time. Wow.

Favourite Moment: The entire Ranch side-quest. I love Romani and Cremia. They're my favourite characters in MM.

Least Favourite Moment: When the moon crashes into Termina. Insane...

Extra Comments: Extra points for the ability to redo anything you might complete without making a new file. Everyone I know finds this annoying...but I don't.

Not much to say about the 2-D games, but...

5. Oracle of Seasons: A very unappreciated game on this Wiki, equally as much as the below game. Very sad, very sad. This was a very fun game, especially when linked. The ability to change seasons is unique to this game, and I love the abilities that come with it.

6. Oracle of Ages: Again, very unappreciated. The ability to travel through time is very fun in this game.

7. Link's Awakening: The second Zelda game I ever played, this game kept me playing it for a very long time.

Least Favourite Moment: Eagle's Tower. This took me three months to solve the first time XP

8. A Link to the Past: ...hmmm...got nothing to say on this one besides it was a fun play.

Least favourite moment: Helmasaur King. This is the hardest boss I've ever seen in any game. It kills me at least nine times each time I play. I HATE it!

Manga

My favourite manga:

1. Link's Awakening. (Felicia's in this one!)

2. Oracle of Seasons.

3. Majora's Mask.

4. Ocarina of Time.

5. The Minish Cap

6. Oracle of Ages.

Zelda Timeline

Zelda Timeline, the most head-exploding subject on this entire Wiki. I believe in multiple Links too, by the way. It's the only way this series could even be PLAUSIBLE continuity-wise. However, the retold legend idea is interesting...

As it currently stands, I have not played all of the games, but here's where my experiences have led me thus far.

I think that Ocarina of Time came first. Out of all the games I've played, it seems like this is the one that would preceed them all. Now, I think Majora's Mask came after ALL of the events of Ocarina of Time. To people who think he went to Termina before obtaining the Master Sword, I say this: He was looking for Navi! If he hadn't taken up the Master Sword yet, she would still be hanging out with him, filling the air with "Hey!" and "Listen!" As it was, when Ocarina of Time was said and done, the Master Sword returned to its pedestal, and Navi bade Link a silent farewell, leaving for parts unknown. Now, why he went to Termina I do not know, but I assume he was just looking everywhere, and this is where he wound up. As a child, I always pictured Termina as another continent to Hyrule, but now I hear all this talk of alternate dimensions. So, I don't know exactly how that goes. Anyway, Majora's Mask follows Ocarina of Time, and that's what I believe.

Now, as for Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, I believe that these Links are all the same. Well, for the Oracles, it's very obvious, but I believe that LA Link is this Link because of how he travels around on a boat. Don't even mention Wind Waker or Phantom Hourglass yet. In each and every game, Link has to collect eight hidden items, to unlock...something. An egg, a memory, or full power, it varies. Still, this bit is kind of...sketchy right now.

As for Twilight Princess, I think that this Link is an alternate Link as well, but this game follows Majora's Mask. Alright, here's what I've come to believe. The events of Ocarina of Time happened, Ganon was sealed away and Link, the OoT Link, travelled away, looking for Navi. After a long time, during which the Link of OoT passed away, the Sages decided to execute Ganondorf for some reason, likely he was becoming powerful enough to stand a chance of escaping. After being banished into the Twilight realm following his botched execution, a bit more time passed, and finally the new Link emerged, ready for his epic quest across Hyrule and the Twilight realm. And yes, I believe the Hero's Shade to be the Link of OoT and MM. As for being his father...well, maybe not. I think he's related, definately, just not sure exactly where he fits.

The careful viewer, who has perservered to this point on my page, may notice I have not mentioned A Link to the Past. See here, my copy does not work properly, and I am quite unwilling to finish it again, only to have it delete itself. When I get a new copy, I'll write about it. However, just so I can say something, I think that this might be an Alternate Link. Don't quote me on that yet.

As for the Wind Waker, which I have not played but am attempting to obtain, so far it sounds to me like an alternate future, kind of a "What If" scenario. I'll write more on Wind Waker when I obtain it.

Fanfiction

Yes, I wrote a Zelda Fanfiction. If there's enough request for it, I'll stick it up on the Wiki. It's based on Ocarina of Time, and follows the same basic storyline, but with differences, namely:

Zelda accompanies Link.

If you're wondering how I do the second half of the story like this, put up a request on my talk page.

It's...I suppose it's more like the OoT manga than the game. Many small differences, and it's not perfect yet. In fact, here's a good question for you to consider, that's in my fanfic:

How did Link defeat Ganondorf WITHOUT the Light Arrows?

I'll leave you to consider this.

Theories

  • The Hero's Spirit in TP is OoT Link.

My Contributions

My contributions to this wiki called Zelda Wiki? I'd like to say everything manga, but I'd be lying if I did. I'm intending to put up a page for each seperate manga in time, however. But, until then, I'll just list some of the stuff I've actually done.

  • general grammer fixing of several articles
  • added general information to several articles, notably manga information.
  • added little known strategies or glitches to a few pages
  • rewriting of the Gomess article
  • rewriting of every boss article for Oracle of Ages besides Pumpkin Head.
  • merging Sun Mask, Moon Mask and Couple Mask into one page.
  • creation of a few various pages.
  • Started adding strategy sections to the Oracle of Ages/Seasons creatures.

Yeah, I'm too lazy to list everything I do. I get enough credit from the people to choose to look at History.

Character of the Week

Once per week, I elect my current favourite (canonical) character, and post them here. This may not change, as they may remain my favourite for a long time. Currently, it is:

File:Malon2.jpg

Malon is a very favourite character of mine from the Zelda series. Like so many of the girls I like in Zelda, she's both very sweet and innocent. She also has a strong spirit, able to take over the ranch after Ingo is 'defeated'. She also stands as a possible love interest of Link, although I doubt it'll happen.

Funny story. There's a Zelda fanfic site I know (some of them are TERRIBLE, by the way. Link's New Video Game? No thanks). Anyway, fanfics there featuring Link and Zelda are dismissed as "predictable", while fanfics featuring Link and any other girl are dismissed as "outrageous crap". Very strange. Of course, people are the most outraged when this girl is Princess Ruto, calling the story disgusting. The second most challenged is Malon, because they think she's not good enough for Link. Pretty close-minded if you ask me...

Proudest Achievement

Manga

  • Creation of the Felicia page. Sure, I've done much better on other pages, but...well, you know by now I adore Felicia.

Games

  • The overhauling I have done for almost every Oracles creature.

Current Objectives

Fixing up certain image boxes created by using the |thumb option, such as this one:

File:Fusedshadow.jpg

All images in this format should have a quote beneath them, like this

I cannot stand boxes like this that don't have a quote in them. They look so unprofessional.

Bringing everything associated with the Oracle of Ages/Seasons pages into a respectable light. They're so little owned, that most of their non-main characters either don't have articles, or have articles three sentences long. Good thing I own both.

Friends

It's been a while since I joined this group, but I haven't tried to make any friends until very recently! I don't know why, possibly because it makes me aloof with a mysterious sense of coolness...

...or maybe it's because I'm shy, or for some other reason. Meh, either way I'm starting a friends list.

Favourite things (characters, items etc)

Just because something isn't listed here doesn't mean I hate them (unless I actually say that I do).

Favourite Zelda Moment

No, it's not in Twilight Princess, when the group of guards runs away and leaves the fat one behind. I don't know why that's the only favourite moment listed on user sites right now.

No, my favourite would have to be in The Wind Waker, when Link and Tetra's crew arrive at the Forsaken Fortress for the first time, when they stick Link in a barrel and launch him off their catapult.

Second up is also from the Wind Waker, when Link's finished placing the pearls on the statues and they shake rather violently. Immediately, Link takes cover, but...nothing happens. When Link goes back to the statue, only then does it explode, throwing him face-first into the Tower of the Gods.

End of Page

Well, for now, this is the end of my page, so I'll leave this note:

Even with the knowledge I possess, I am like anyone else, capable of making mistakes. If it is small, like grammar, anyone could fix it, but if it is large, like incorrect quotes or wrong details, please bring it up in my talk.

So, to conclude my page, what should I do? I'll leave you some quotes of my own making. Enjoy!

Quote1 Wait, that's not Princess Zelda! That's a grenade! Quote2
— Link
Quote1 I know! I switched them when you were not looking! Quote2
— Ganondorf
Quote1 So you just happened to have a grenade that looked exactly like Princess Zelda? Quote2
— Saria
Quote1 Well, if by that you mean four inches tall, round, made of metal and explosive when triggered, then yes, we did. Quote2
— Maple
Quote1 It was the perfect plan... Quote2
— Midna
Quote1 And we fell for it...how unfortunate. Quote2
— Marin

2

Quote1 So, you two tried sealing the doors with passwords instead of keys? Quote2
— Ganondorf
Quote1 Yeah, but it didn't quite work out. I tried setting the password to something he'd never guess, but he guessed it. Quote2
— Vaati
Quote1 Wait...don't tell me. You set the password to 'Password', didn't you? Quote2
— Fox McCloud
Quote1 It's so obvious, that nobody could ever guess it! Quote2
— Ashei
Quote1 Obviously, you two need to learn what makes a good password... Quote2
