Mila is a rich girl from Windfall Island appearing in The Wind Waker who was kidnapped and taken to the Forsaken Fortress. She's eventually rescued during Link's second trip there, but her father spent all of his Rupees paying Tetra and the pirates for bringing her back to the island safely. Mila was saddened and angered by her new life of poverty, so she started to work at Zunari's shop to try and bring some income to the family. However, she became fed up and snuck out at night to steal something out of Zunari's safe; she was caught by Link, who convinced her what she was doing was wrong. Nowadays, instead of sneaking out at night, she spends her evenings working at a faraway island.

Also known as the "Broken Giant's Knife", the broken sword is the handle and portion of the blade remaining from the Giant's Knife. The remaining handle can still be used as a weapon, but will only inflict 1/4 the damage of the original Giant's Knife. If Link returns the broken sword to Medigoron, he will forge a new one for 200 rupees.

Mila had a very bossy and overbearing disposition before being kidnapped, but has become more humble and polite afterward now that she has accepted her new lifestyle.
Oddly, though most of the blade and therefore weight, is absent, link still requires both hands in order to wield the broken giants knife.
