This breed of sparrow is native to the Eldin region. Their down is resistant to burning, an evolutionary trait produced by the harsh volcanic environment. They subsist on small insects that hide inside rocks.
Common Locations
Great Hyrule Forest
Eldin Canyon

Chickaloo Tree Nut

Golden Sparrows inhabit the mountains of the Eldin region, primarily the slopes of Death Mountain itself. They survive in this harsh environment thanks to body feathers resistant to burning, which protect them from Death Mountain's scorching temperatures.[2] They are primarily predators in diet, and feed on small insects that they search for among rocks.[3] They drop a single Chickaloo Tree Nut when killed.
