Template:Boss Ook is the mini-boss of the Forest Temple in Twilight Princess. He is the leader of the monkeys, who in loyalty try to free Ook from a parasite. He is first seen when he cuts down a bridge across a chasm with the Gale Boomerang in the Forest Temple. Later, when Link enters his chamber, he start spanking his bottom, mocking Link; then the battle begins.

Strategy

Dodging his boomerang is easy, but getting him down from the pillars that he jumps around on is a bit harder. After he throws his boomerang, Link must dodge it, then ram the pillar he is standing on. He then starts to lose his balance and then get knocked off the pillar by his own boomerang when it comes back. Once downed, his bottom becomes vulnerable. After slashing at him a couple of times, he cuts some Baba Serpents down to attack Link. Once he is defeated, it is revealed that a gigantic mite on his head was controlling him. Defeating him also yields the Gale Boomerang. After the battle, Ook returns to normal, and he later comes back to help Link battle Diababa, the dungeon's boss. He aids in the fight by swinging across the screen carrying bomblings for Link to use against Diababa.

Trivia

  • The intro music to this mini-boss fight is a remixed version of Saria's Song.
  • Ook, along with the Deku Toad, are the only mini-bosses in Twilight Princess to have their own battle music. All other mini-bosses share the same battle music (with the exception of Death Sword and Phantom Zant, who share a unique battle music).
