Biography

Zanc is a brown-haired Mogma who inhabits the grounds near the Thrill Digger mini-game, in the same Cave. For a fee of 20 Rupees, he will give Link "top-secret info."[1] After payment, Zanc will give Link advice on playing the mini-game. He says that there are no bad holes around a Green Rupee, one or two bad holes around a Blue Rupee, three or four bad holes around a Red Rupee, five of six bad holes around a Silver Rupee, and seven of eight bad holes around a Gold Rupee.[2] Despite the claim that this information is "top-secret," it can be found on the wall near the entrance of the Cave.

Etymology

Zanc's name is derived from the mineral zinc. In other languages, his name is derived from crystal.
