If you have the game (or if you have seen the artwork) you can notice four masks: one is a mario mask. The one below it is a darth maul mask. The one below hat is a sad elvis mask. The one above that is the face from the mirror shield exclusive to that game.

:Done. Nice find. --Adam 13:15, 16 December 2007 (EST)

There are at least five masks visible on the Happy Mask Salesman's pack, and the one above the Elvis Mask is not the Mirror Shield Face Mask. The Mirror Shield Face Mask is visible on the other side of the pack as seen in :File:MM AngryMaskSalesman.png. The mask above the Elvis Mask, which can be viewed in this image Maskseller.jpg [now deleted —Ando], is labeled as the Doctor Doom Mask here http://www.zeldawiki.org/Cameos_in_The_Legend_of_Zelda#The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Majora.27s_Mask.

I am not convinced that it is supposed to be a Doctor Doom Mask, but I think some mention of this mask ought to be added to the list of "masks visible" under the Trivia section of the article. If anyone can confirm if the aforementioned mask is a Doctor Doom Mask, or if they have a better way of describing it, then it would be great if they added it to the list. Thanks! --Goron Power 04:43, 9 March 2008 (EDT)

Facts
To be blunt, I'm tired of the speculation involved in the topic of the mask salesman's masks. The images below show every mask on his pack, which I've numbered for convenience. To me, they're all pretty generic (other than the Mario mask, which is a clear cameo). I certainly don't agree with calling #4 a "Darth Maul" mask; it's a face with red and black stripes, and there ends the similarity. To me, the expression doesn't look much like this! Nor do I see any real similarity between #2 and Doctor Doom; it's clearly just a stone mask. I'd suggest that we use a simple descriptive list (using these images if required), possibly adding fan-perceived similarities if required. --Adam 09:09, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I wholeheartedly agree. The article also needs some better pictures of the masks on the salesman's pack. Honestly, I can't see the majority of the masks. --The Keeper of Majora's Mask 20:17, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I noticed that on the page of the happy mask salesman someone wrote that the Happy Mask Salesman is constantly smiling and never stops smiling.

Well I captured a screenshot from Majora's Mask in which the Not-so Happy Mask Salesman is not smiling. So doesn't anybody want to add on that? Matthew 23:24, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

Majora?
I've always been confused on this one- I know the final bosses of the game are called "Majora," but the mask is "Majora<b>'s</b> Mask," not the "Majora Mask". And the Happy Mask Salesman does say it is his mask. So, isn't it possible that <i>he's</i> Majora? just a thought. --Sk8torchic

i never thought of that.Dragonstetraforce 15:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

:Majora is actually a mistranlation of Mujura, which translates to demon or devil. So unless you think the Happy Mask Salesmen is a demon or the devil, then he's not Majora. 02:51, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

its entirely possible hes a demon maybe even majora due to whats hes done in the game. he makes an organ appear in thin air, he himself seems to appear out of nowhere often, and finally at the end of the game when the mask is returned he just disappears. also in the manga (this isnt strong evidence since the writer did this) he talks about how once he gets the mask back there wont be a need for him on this world. how can he travel between worlds without the aid of some powerful force?

:The Mujura=demon/devil thing was proven false, actually. Plus, examining the Japanese text with a little knowledge on Japanese mythology points to Majora's Mask being nothing more than just a hexing mask that came to life somehow. It's not the first inanimate object to come to life in Zelda (the Scarecrows, etc.).

:The Mas Salesman, while strange, just seems to be a normal person and nothing more. 21:10, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

yes it was a mask used for hexing but it had to already of been enchanted or something to cast said hexes. plus they sealed it off in fear of the masks POWER suggesting it was already living. and if the salesman is just a normal but strange person how does it explain the evenrts i mentioned before?

Shigeru Miyamoto?
Should there be something in the Trivia section commenting on how the salesman looks like Miyamoto. He has Shigeru's legendary smile. Jzime 14:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Another World
He says he will have no more need in this world, which could mean he is going to leave Termina for Hyule, does it not? -- կրակ (խոսել) -- 00:58, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

I always thought it meant that he got back what he was looking for (Majora's Mask) and was satisfied with everything he had.--Knife 01:41, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Organ
Throughout the article it says piano, and in the trivia it was corrected to be an organ. I didn't want to go through and make too much change, but instead can't everywhere it says piano just be replaced with organ, and the trivia taken out. I don't think it says piano in-game, so that would make sense to me. But if it does say piano in-game then never mind.WoollyRex (talk) 22:19, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

:I think you may have misread the trivia. It says it is actually a piano, but it can be mistaken for an organ because of its appearance. I reworded the sentence so that the meaning is a little clearer. 22:13, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

That makes a lot more sense then WoollyRex (talk) 02:17, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
