Features and Overview
Sheikah Towers are tall, ancient structures that, upon activation, are found scattered across Hyrule. When activated, these towers rise from the ground and glow a bright blue. After being awakened from his deep sleep at the Shrine of Resurrection, Link is shortly guided by a disembodied voice to a pedestal at a monument in the northeast of the Great Plateau. Upon placing the Sheikah Slate into the pedestal, the Sheikah Towers are activated and rise up all over Hyrule.[2] A Sheikah Tower also rises where Link is standing, the Resurrection Tower.
Sheikah Towers may be climbed by gradually scaling their wicker walls; platforms are provided in-between elevations so that Link may rest when need be. At the top of a Sheikah Tower is a pedestal where Link can install data onto his Sheikah Slate, which gives him a full and detailed map of the surrounding region. Sheikah Towers also make the Shrines of Trials appear in their respective region upon being activated.[3]
