When an large enemy (such as a Moblin or Darknut is defeated in The Wind Waker, occasionally it will leave behind a Treasure Sphere (instead of rupees or hearts). These glowing glass-like orbs change color, cycling from green to amber to red, then back to green. When broken, a shower of treasure is released, including hearts, rupees, arrows, bombs, along with any spoils appropriate to that enemy (if they haven't already been stolen with the grappling hook).
