Free Mode is a game mode in Hyrule Warriors.[1]
Overview[]
Free Mode is a version of Legend Mode that allows players to play Scenarios with full control over the selection of Warriors being put into the map, allowing players to obtain any Scenario's hidden Piece of Heart & Heart Container, and the Illustration Piece from the Hard Difficulty-exclusive Gold Skulltulas, unlocked after beating Legend Mode in its entirety, without potentially replaying any given scenario potentially 3 times just to get everything.
However, newer Scenarios cannot be unlocked in Free Mode, so one has to keep forging on in Legend Mode to unlock everything. If a Scenario hasn’t been beaten yet in Legend Mode, it won’t show up in Free Mode at all.
