There is a problem with parsing the infobox The Founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule is an event in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Overview[]
Long after both Skyward Sword and the Era of Chaos, the Kingdom of Hyrule is founded by the descendants of Zelda from Skyward Sword.[2] The Oocca also participated in Hyrule's founding.[3] Various Hyrule Castles were built and destroyed, including Hyrule Castle in Ocarina of Time which was destroyed to make way for Ganon's Tower which was also subsequently destroyed, as well as Hyrule Castle in Twilight Princess which was damaged by Ganondorf.
The founders of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were Queen Sonia and King Rauru,[4] though it is unclear which iteration of Hyrule this depicts.[5] It is possible that Hyrule may have been destroyed once before the founding depicted in the game.[6] The kingdom was established at the Great Plateau,[7] chosen because it was the location of the sacred Temple of Time.[2] Following the imprisoning of Ganondorf underground, Hyrule Castle was built atop the Demon King to keep him sealed.[8][9] Hyrule Castle remained intact and undestroyed for ages, until it was damaged for the first time during the Great Calamity 100 years prior to Breath of the Wild, resulting in Ganondorf's power manifesting underground and ultimately reviving.[8][9]
