In Ocarina of Time, the Forest Stage[1] is an underground niche filled with Deku Scrubs who appear to be waiting for entertainment to fall down into their company. The stage is at the bottom of a hole concealed by flowers in a clearing beneath a single tree hidden within the Lost Woods. The location of this hole is marked by a cluster of butterflies.
To entertain the Scrubs, Link puts on a mask borrowed from the Happy Mask Salesman and stands in front of them. They will do one of four things. One, they will be amazed and give Link a reward; two, they will hate Link's mask but give Link a reward for trying; three, they will hate Link's mask and will shoot nuts at Link; or four, they will start dancing around.
If Link wears the Skull Mask, Link gets an upgrade to carry more Deku Sticks. Wearing the Mask of Truth gives Link the upgrade to carry more Deku Nuts.
If Saria's Song plays when the Link presents his mask and the Deku Scrubs crowd around him, the young hero will receive an award. To obtain it, he must crowd around the Deku Scrub that is on the platform to the right.
